Brian Lowe BVSc
Production Animal Vet, Clinic Director
Brian graduated from Massey in 1996 then headed off to pursue his passion as a rural veterinarian which has taken him to the other side of the world and back.
In 2006 Brian accepted a job in Dargaville as a mixed animal vet and really connected with the farming community. After the dissolution of the Dargaville Vets, Brian couldn’t just walk out on his clients and his community and took a huge leap to set out on his own. A number of staff with the same passion and ideals joined with him and together they are the Kaipara Farm Vets team.
He enjoys working with farmers helping to create a ‘whole farm’ management plan. He is in partnership on a local diary farm so the practicalities of farm management, balancing financials and the various increasing number of compliances we are faced with are things that he has first-hand experience with. Brian is also actively involved in the Northland Agricultural Research Farm (NARF) as chairman on the management committee.
When he isn’t at work, Brian’s wife is very good at finding something on their block that needs attending to whether that be animal related or not. He enjoys supporting his daughters in their various sporting and school activities and is also Chairman of the BOT at Dargaville Primary School.
