Mel has recently returned to Kaipara after spending a year at Massey University teaching the final year vet students. Farm vet by heart and trade for 8 years with a passion for goats and dairy cows. She is also eager to help lifetsylers successfully manage their stock, having gained experience with a wide range of lifestyler stock including alpaca and sheep. 

Mel is a hobby farmer herself with her own stud herd of Nigerian Dwarf milking goats. Mel can be seen around with her brightly coloured hair and/or colourful gumboots, as well as a cute little Italian greyhound or 6 at the beach.
